The world of professional wrestling is a hard place as many talent sacrifice it all in order to achieve their dreams. However, life is uncertain and no one knows what can happen at any time. Unfortunately, we are sad to report that joshi wrestler Asahi passed away at the age of 21 after a car accident.

Japan’s Actwres girl’Z announced the tragic passing of 21-year-old Asahi on February 1st. In response, they canceled their February 9th show and expressed gratitude for the support received.

“We would like to inform you that Asahi, a member of our company, has passed away due to an unexpected accident. We would also like to inform you that the Shinkiba performance on February 9th has been canceled for the time being. We will inform you about the future within the next day or two.”

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has supported Asahi so far.”

Asahi debuted in the wrestling ring at the age of 14 for Ice Ribbon at Korakuen Hall, facing former All Japan Women’s Champion Manami Toyota. In 2020, she temporarily stepped away from wrestling to manage her commitments to both the sport and school. She made a comeback the following year.

In 2023, Asahi concluded her contract with Ice Ribbon and joined Actwres girl’Z. Initially planning a three-to-six-month loan, she decided to officially become part of the new promotion. Her final match took place on January 31st.

We here at Ringside News offer our deepest condolences to Asahi’s family and loved ones during this incredibly sad and difficult time.
